Welcome to Brouwerij De Sleutels, nestled in the historic center of Bruges at Wulfhagestraat 37. Our address offers not only a central location but also a unique piece of history.
The brewery dates back to 1441, when it was first mentioned as “In de Slotel” on a list of 54 breweries in Bruges. By 1673, it had grown into one of the city’s largest breweries and was known as “De Sloter.”
The Sleutelbrug (Key Bridge), named after this brewery, was built in the 14th century and is a charming three-arched stone and brick bridge. It stands at the intersection of Beenhouwersstraat, Speelmansrei, and Wulfhagestraat. Since 2002, the bridge has been a protected monument, spanning the picturesque Speelmansrei canal.
Thanks to our location, you’ll be within walking distance of Bruges’ most iconic landmarks, such as the Grote Markt (Main Square), the Belfry, and the enchanting canals that make the city so unique. Here, you’ll enjoy the convenience of the city alongside the tranquility and charm of our Bed & Breakfast.

A highly recommended accommodation in Bruges, with beautiful rooms, fully equipped and decorated with great attention to detail. Just a few minutes’ walk from Bruges’ Market Square, yet located in a quiet residential area. There’s also a garage nearby for bicycle parking. Our very friendly host welcomed us warmly and answered all our questions
The location was great, close to the center — we could walk everywhere. Also nice to have a parking garage nearby, even if it was a bit tricky to reach due to traffic. An incredibly warm welcome from the fantastic host and clear instructions in the email made this a wonderful experience from the very first moment

Brouwerij De Sleutels in Bruges is a unique and inviting place — perfect for those who love an authentic atmosphere 🍺🏡 Located in a beautifully restored historic building, it offers a warm and welcoming experience, ideal for beer lovers and travelers alike. The host is incredibly kind and attentive, adding a personal touch to the stay. A few small notes: there’s no lift, so be prepared for stairs, and the toilet lacks a door, which might not suit everyone. That said, the beauty of the house and the hospitality make it an unforgettable place to visit — a true hidden gem in Bruges! 🇧🇪🍻
